European Specification Rear Emblem

Alternate Marketing, Consistent Badging
European
specification Porsche 914 rear insignia are more
consistent than the U.S.
models. The Euro rear emblems reflected the different VW-Porsche joint
marketing approach by incorporating both the familiar VW logo and the
Porsche
block lettering into the 914 or 914/6 rear emblem. Further simplifying
matters is the absence of engine grille lettering on European models,
making rear emblems the only external badging present.

Porsche 914/6 Euro Emblem: Gold-Anodized Aluminum
Prevailing
wisdom is that the European 914/6 emblems were all gold-anodized
aluminum. As with the U.S specification 914/6 emblems, however, the
parts catalog does not note a color for the single part number cited
for the Euro 914/6 logo, 914 559 112 10, allowing for the existence of
chrome-silver examples. If you have knowledge of such an emblem, please

emblem, part number 914 559 111 10, is attached via seven mounting
posts and corresponding speed nuts, making it very secure (pictures
pending).
